WPD is seeking shooter in second incident in two days

Winslow police are seeking suspects in the second shooting in the city in just two days.

At approximately 4 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, officers were dispatched to a business in the 1300 block of East Second Street after receiving a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered that there was one employee on scene for security of the business who had received a gunshot wound to the left arm. The employee informed police that there were two or possibly three subjects involved.

No one was injured in the first shooting, which occurred Tuesday evening, Aug. 29, in the area of Hicks Avenue and Mahoney Street.

The Winslow Police Department is asking citizens to be cautious and aware of their surroundings as they go about their business.
