A Winslow couple is facing several drug and weapons charges after their arrest by the Major Crimes Apprehension Team last week.
After a lengthy investigation, MCAT executed a search warrant on Monday, July 17, at the residence of Joshua and Rachel Crites in Winslow. The search warrant revealed several guns, three-quarters of a pound of methamphetmine and $1,900 in cash.
Joshua Crites, 32, and Rachel Crites, also 32, were booked into Navajo County Jail in Holbrook. Each is charged with participating in a criminal syndicate, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, sale of dangerous drugs, child abuse, felony endangerment, possessing a defaced deadly weapon, possessing a deadly weapon during a drug offense, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault.
Their two children, aged 8 and 5, were turned over to the Department of Child Safety.
The investigation continues and authorities say both will be facing more charges.
