Two men have been indicted in connection with the Nov. 8 shooting death of Show Low Police Officer Darrin Reed.
According to the Navajo County Attorney’s Office, Jason Michael Hill, 34, of Phoenix and Christopher Talley, 40, of Snowflake are both being charged as accomplices in the incident.
The indictment states that on Nov. 8 both Hill and Talley were allegedly involved in drug activity and as a result of attempting to flee from law enforcement, their accomplice, Daniel Erickson, 36, shot and killed Officer Reed. Erickson was later killed by law enforcement after a more than six-hour stand off.
Hill and Talley have both been charged with hindering prosecution, child abuse, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, attempted misconduct involving weapons, two counts each of manufacturing of dangerous drugs and possession of dangerous drugs for sale, and four counts of first-degree murder. Both are being held in the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook.
