Registration begins for Winslow Schools

It’s time to register for classes in the Winslow School District, which begin on Monday, July 31. Registration packets for Winslow High School are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, at 600 E. Cherry St.

Students who are new to the district must provide immunization records, a birth certificate and proof of residency to begin the registration process. Native American students should also provide their Certificate of Indian Blood, and special education students should bring their Individual Education Plan paperwork.

Class schedules will be available to those students.

Juniors and seniors who have a registration packet on file may pick up their class schedules from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, July 24 and 25; freshmen and sophomores, 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, July 26 and 27; and all four grades, 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 28.

Students can purchase their identification cards for $5 and their activity cards for $35 at these times.

Winslow Junior High School requires students new to the school to register by Friday, July 21. Class schedules will be available at the following times: eighth graders, 8 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18; and seventh graders, 8 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 to 3 p.m., on Wednesday, July 19.

Students can purchase their required identification cards for $2 at these times.

WJHS will also host a Meet the Teachers open house from 1 to 3 p.m., on Friday, July 28, at the school, located at 1100 Colorado Ave.

New elementary student registration packets are available at the school sites from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 to 2:30 p.m. through Wednesday, July 26. Completed registration packets should be returned to the school by July 26.

Bonnie Brennan Elementary is located at 100 Cochise Drive. Students attending special needs preschool, kindergarten, and third and fourth grades will attend here.

Washington Elementary schools fifth and sixth grades at 300 W. Oak St.

Jefferson Elementary School is home to the first and second grades, and is located at 100 W. Mahoney St.

The elementary schools will host Meet the Teacher events from 1 to 3 p.m., on Friday, July 28.
