Patricia Lucille Cox went home to be with the Lord and her family unexpectedly on Tuesday Aug. 8, 2017, at her home in Taylor.
She was born June 18, 1945, in Phoenix to James and Wanda Byars. She was the middle of three children, including older brother Thomas Ellington and baby sister Lou Ella Byars.
Patricia married Charles Cox on May 18, 1969, and together they adopted two boys, Michael Clay Cox and James Otto Cox. They built and maintained their life in Taylor the 48 years they were married.
She earned her Associate’s Degree in Arts and enjoyed painting. Later in life Patricia loved to crochet and spent the majority of her time making baby blankets for the new babies born into her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Wanda Byars; her brother, Thomas Ellington Byars; and her sister, Lou Ella Byars.
Survivors include her loving husband, Charles Cox; her sons, Michael (Kristina) Cox and James Cox; three grandchildren, Chelsea (Leonard) Schow, Madalyn Cox and Joseph (Danna) Cox; two great-grandchildren, Tatum Jay Cox and Ciara Leigh Cox; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
