Lobos compete in state meet

Snowflake qualified eight wrestlers for the division III state wrestling meet held in Prescott over the weekend.  Of those eight, Crew Perkins was the highest finisher at the state meet coming home as the state runner-up in the 113-pound weight class. Perkins went 3-1 in his four matches.

Wrestling in the 106-pound class, Coy Owens placed fourth with a 3-2 record.  Davis Kay qualified in the 122-pound weight class where he placed fifth with a 3-2 meet record. Also placing fifth at the state meet was Justin White who wrestled in the 195-pound weight class posting a 4-2 overall meet record.

Those who qualified for and competed at the state meet but did not place in their respective weight classes were, Daniel Frost (138) 1-2, Gage Gabaldon (152) 1-2, Caleb Uchytil (170) 1-2, and Luke Whittle (220) went 0-2.

Yuma won the team state wrestling title with 170 team points. Second place and runner-up was Walden Grove who had 165.5. Show Low finished in third place with 168. Snowflake placed eighth as a team with 62 team points.
