Linda Joyce Taylor

Linda Joyce (Reeves) Taylor, 77, passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nev.  Linda was born on Jan. 8, 1940, in Jamestown, Calif., to parents Earl Raymond and Goldie Jewel Reeves.

A public visitation will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, at Owens Livingston Mortuary – White Mountain Chapel, located at 320 N. 9th St. in Show Low.  The graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. at the Show Low Cemetery.

Linda had a hard time entering this world, as she was born 6 ½ months premature and weighed two pounds, three ounces. The Sonora Fire Department worked with an inhalator nearly 12 hours and saved her life. She was then placed in an incubator for several weeks and was fed with an “eye-dropper.”

Linda spent much of her life in Show Low and graduated from Snowflake High School.  She worked in retail for many years and also as a cashier and a waitress. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Linda is survived by her son, Raymond James Taylor, of Henderson, Nev.; three grandchildren, Shelby White, Brye Zee Taylor and Austin Taylor; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Irva Lucille Whipple of Tempe.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Violet Reeves, and Goldie and James Rowland.

Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
