Lenore Case, 81, of Taylor went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 2 p.m. on Friday Sept. 1, at Silver Creek Mortuary, 745 Paper Mill Road in Taylor.
She was born July 29, 1936, to Leonard and Geraldine VanWagenen in New York.
Lenore enjoyed cooking and waitressing, and working in a restaurant. She liked cooking bacon for her grandchildren. Back in 1983 she and her husband owned and operated the Main Street Café in Snowflake.
She was a helpful and caring person; she was always helping her family, children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Case in 2016; and two brothers, John VanWagenen and Leonard VanWagenen.
Survivors include her children, Rose (Earnest) McIntyre of Snowflake, Jean (Bryan) Yates of Taylor and Eugene Weber Jr. of Shelbyville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three siblings, LeGrand VanWagenen, Allian Mancini and Gerald VanWagenen.
She will be dearly missed by her family.
