Laura Parsons has been covering Winslow and the surrounding area for The Tribune-News since February. Parsons attended Winslow High School and moved back to Winslow in 2010.
“I have known as long as I can remember that I wanted to be a reporter. I was a radio disc jockey for many years, with stints in sports and news broadcasting, but my first love is the written word. I believe in integrity in journalism and the power of truth in reporting,” said Parsons.
Parsons says it’s important for her to teach her kids and others to get involved in community through activism and charity. “I am the mother to two amazing and talented children 15 years apart in age, and I am very active in my community. I enjoy fishing and hiking and creating and curating art of all types, and music is my life’s blood.”
