Diana Ruiz Mapo, a loving Nana and longtime resident of Colorado, passed away from cancer quietly with her family by her side on Monday, July 17, 2017, at her home in Pueblo. A funeral service is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, at Madre de Dios Church in Coopertown. Interment will follow at 11 a.m. at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow.
She was born Sept. 3, 1955, in Winslow to Bessie and Manuel Ruiz.
Diana will be greeted in heaven by her father Manuel and brother Danny.
Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, Alberto Mapo Jr.; her mother, Bessie Williams; and three brothers, Manuel (Jean), Michael and Steve (Patty). Surviving children are daughters Cindy (Tony) and Jodi, and son Joey, special to her heart are Sophia and Nicole. Her life was her grandkids, Anthony, Noah and Jacob Bard, and Sevastian and Madison Manzanares.
