Arizona Legal Aid to be focus of September 24 NAACP meeting

The Winslow chapter of the NAACP will be hosting a special presentation, What Legal Aid Can Do For You, at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Winslow Fire Station, located at the corner of North Taylor Avenue and Third Street.

Brooks Chapine, Esquire, will give a presentation on how legal aid works and explain the services Arizona Legal Aid offers. Arizona Legal Aid assists underserved citizens with many legal issues, including landlord/tenant matters, foreclosure prevention, domestic violence, guardianship, public assistance and much more.

The public is invited and refreshments will be served.

The vision of the NAACP is to ensure all individuals have equal rights, and there is no racial hatred or racial discrimination. As the oldest and largest civil rights organization in the U.S., the NAACP is a leader in the effort to guarantee that members of all minorities receive equal protection under the law.
